The key objective of Plant Watch® is to reduce and eradicate plant patent infringement. We do so through our monitoring services, which are funded by growers and breeders. With this objective, we can do the work with clear intent, because the profit motive is not the first priority. This point is easily understood by growers and conducive to securing their co-operation sooner rather than later. Also, our ground rules for visits are clear and carried out by polite representatives with close ties in the trade. Policies for invoicing and following up on illegal propagation are in place and transparent for all.
